Biolocity is based on Coulter Foundation’s translational process which utilizes best practices from industry to accelerate academic innovations to the market.
Biolocity’s pilot program was stewarded by the Biomedical Engineering Department at Emory University and the Georgia Institute of Technology and founded to bridge the gap in early-stage technologies emanating from both universities. The 2014 – 2019 program was funded by the Wallace H. Coulter Foundation with matching funds from both institutes. A small cohort of biomedical engineering programs across the United States were also selected to pilot this program and the combined network has an outstanding track record of translational success well above the national average.
